
Richard Casler began his career in Aviation at The Cessna Aircraft Company February 1976. During his nearly 11 years there he held several different positions and had the opportunity to live in many parts of the country. Beginning in Wichita, KS then to Albuquerque, NM, Lubbock, TX, Salt Lake City, UT, Santa Maria, CA, Cameron Park, CA and back to Wichita. Starting in Parts as Return Goods Coordinator, he moved to Sales Scheduling assuring all aircraft were built and delivered to specs. He later became a Cessna Pilot Center Specialist, selling the Cessna flight training program and assisting with implementation at the flight schools. Casler finished his career in the late 80’s as a District Sales Manager for Single Engine Propellor Aircraft.
After leaving Cessna he moved back to his home town of Abilene, TX. where he teamed up with Joe Crawford at Abilene Aero as the Aircraft Sales Manager. After a couple of years an opportunity arose in Lubbock, TX and Abilene Aero purchased Texas Air Center, rebranded as Lubbock Aero where Casler became General Manager and later Vice President, the position held when joining the FHG team.
He is married to wife Lauri now for 24 years has two grown children, Amanda of San Angelo, TX and Chris of Tokyo, Japan along with 2 grandchildren He enjoys fishing, golf, travel and spending time with family and friends.
