Loyd’s Aviation to Sell Bakersfield and Delano FBO Operations to Freeman Holdings Group; Continues Independent Operation of Paso Robles Location

Sale reflects a consolidation opportunity between competing Meadows Field FBOs; Freeman to combine Loyd’s and Epic Jet Center into a single Freeman Jet Center as its 26th location

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — September 9, 2026 —

Loyd’s Aviation, a family-owned fixed-base operator (FBO) with locations in Bakersfield, Delano, and Paso Robles, California, today announced it has reached an agreement to sell the assets of its Bakersfield and Delano operations to Freeman Holdings Group. The transaction, expected to close in October, will mark Freeman’s 26th FBO. Freeman is also acquiring Epic Jet Center, and the two operations will be combined into a single Freeman Jet Center at Meadows Field Airport (BFL). Loyd’s Aviation will continue to independently own and operate its location at Paso Robles Municipal Airport.

The sale follows years of consideration by the Loyd family, as three FBOs have long competed to serve Meadows Field. Combining Loyd’s and Epic Jet Center into a single, well-resourced Freeman Jet Center is intended to strengthen the FBO landscape at Meadows Field and position the airport for continued investment and growth.
