Mike Stunkard joined the team as the General Manager for Freeman Jet Center at Lake Charles Regional in 2019. He is responsible for providing exemplary services to general aviation, corporate, military, and the airline industry.
Prior to working for Freeman Holdings, Mike served for 30 years in Airborne, Infantry, Calvary, and Armored units with the United States Army. During his military career He served as the Regimental Command Sergeants Major for the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment at the National Training Center and as the Command Sergeants Major for the Operations Group of the Joint Readiness Training Center and the Second Battalion Five-0-Fifth Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 82d Airborne Division.
He has worked overseas in austere environments in support of U.S. military and humanitarian operations and is a Demonstrated Senior Enlisted Advisor. Mike is OSHA General Industry, Permit-Required Confined Space, Electrical Standards, and Construction Industry trained and is a graduated of the United States Army Ground Safety Officer and Accident Investigation and Analysis Courses, which are American National Standards Institute (ANSI) certified.
He is a member of the Blackhorse and Panther Regimental Associations and was inducted into the Honorable Order of Saint George. He is also a member of the FORSCOM SAMC. Mike is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 59).
